Write Your Story

Essential oils are all about stories.  They are about stories of people like LeAnne Deardeuff  who was healed from stroke symptoms.

“I suffered a stroke about three years ago. I lost the use of my left arm, had muscle paralysis in the throat and tongue and had short term memory loss. I immediately started putting Frankincense and Idaho Balsam fir in the roof of my mouth and on the painful areas of my head. I also had Trigeminal Neuralgia. I put those oils on the painful areas caused by that on my face also. I used the Oils on these places every 10 minutes throughout the day.

“Within three days I had the use of my arm and hand back. Within three months I had my throat muscles and speech back. I started doing logic problems and algebra problems. I did art. I took piano lessons to organize my brain and allow it work all sides of the brain at once. I continued using the oils frequently during those months. With in 6 months I had my pitch back and could hear better. I also had my short term memory back. Today, you would never know I had a stroke.”

Essential oils are about stories of people who have been cured of cancer like Jackie Hogan.

“Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a rare and fast growing type of bladder cancer. The doctors told me that [neither] chemo nor radiation would work on it. . . The only option that I had was to have my bladder removed and wear a bag for the rest of my life. I did not want that. . . I came home and researched cancer cures. . . I sell firewood, and someone came by to buy some and made the mistake of asking me how I was. Well I poured my heart out to him. He then told me that he knew someone that was using frankincense oil.

“The next day, he brought me a bottle of the frankincense and I have been using it two times a day since then. I take about 4 drops by mouth two times a day.  It will soon be two years since I was diagnosed. No signs of the bladder cancer! My family loves frankincense oil! It also has so many other great uses as well.”

But before you can get have a story to tell about how essential oils worked for you, you must research essential oils, the condition that you want help with, and potential essential oil treatments.  Today, I am going to give you just a few gems for your research.

Research Materials

The first book or type of book that everyone should start off with is a reference guide.  Right now, I use The Quick Reference Guide to Essential Oils by Connie and Alan Higley.  This is temporarily unavailable, but the 2013 version will be coming out in August of 2013.  This is a wonderful basic book on what oils are known to help with various conditions.  You could choose to go with a more comprehensive reference guide such as Essential Oil Desk Reference by Life Science Publishing

This is a similar but more comprehensive book than the Quick Reference Guide mentioned above.

If you have young children or expecting another wonderful reference is PregnancyChildbirth/dp/098169540X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1374944803&sr=1-1&keywords=gentle babies by debra raybern”>Gentle Babies by Deborah Rayburn.  This book helps you learn how and where to apply oils to little ones, which oils are safe for application, and which oils can be used for different ailments.  It also discusses oils which are safe for use during pregnancy and how to help any pregnancy related symptoms.

If you want to understand more about the oils themselves, there are two books that I recommend Healing Oils of the Bible by David Stewart.  I am currently reading through this book and have found it filled with good information in an easy to read format. It’s also given me a Christian basis for using my oils, how they fit in well with my faith, and how God has prescribed the use of some oils.  It’s a fascinating read!  The second book on information on the oils is also by David Stewart and is called Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple: God”s Love Manifest in Molecules.  This book is easy to understand and tackles the subject of what essential oils are and how they work from a Christian perspective.

One last reference which is free is a website called Oil Testimonials.  You will need to register for it even though it is free.  You can use this link to register.  There are great testimonials here of how people have been helped or healed from various conditions and health concerns by essential oils.  After you register, you are able to search through the testimonials to see how other people have used their oils to help what condition on which you are searching.

Experience oils for yourself.  Tell your stories.  Tell stories of God’s intervention in a health crisis via the use of essential oils, but before you do, research how to best use the oils on you and your family.

Do you have an essential story to tell?  Please encourage us by telling it to us below.

I’m Kate, mama to 5 and wife to Ben.  I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.  I’m also a big fan of “fancy” drinks (anything but plain water counts as ‘fancy’ in my world!) and I can’t stop myself from DIY-ing everything.  I sure hope you’ll stick around so I can get to know you better!
